HDD space would be the only reason to be an elite. If this add-on cost more than $50 then an elite would be the way to go for non 360 owners. I have a Sammy 1080p TV 3 HDMI and 2 component inputs. I can get a display at 1080p via the comp. but it does not look that great. If the game is not done in 1080p native then it does not matter. I set most of my games to 720p because my sammy upscales better than the 360 does.
whats up with all these fanboys cheering for one format to die. I bet half of them don't even have an HDTV. I can't wait for prices to hit rock bottom and for one format to die. I am on the fence to purchace any one. I will get a PS3 by mid 08 but I rather not use it to watch movies on.
If they add rumble and keep the same betteries then the battery life will be too short. If they get higher mAH batteries then they will cost more. Sony has alot to think about. They could just stop making the comtrollers without rumble and we will not have a choice on what to buy.
okay the lips are 50 gigs. The eyes are 50 gigs. We will need like 10 dvd 9s to play this game. The 360 is ripping me off. Mass Effect looks like a $600 game. It plays on a $300 console. So by that logic how many games will you know who have that will look like $1200?
Those types of things can only be done with Cell. This is why we need to invest in the Cell. $600 is not to much. It will teach us all discipline. I will want to work more hours so I can get it.

That is the problem xbox1 had. More power, came out late, but it was cheaper than the PS2 in the long run. Dev would port over games, and most casual gamers get systems based on what their friends have could care less. Sony has to face that, and the fact that M$ has the upper hand $$ wise hurts Sony also. If you have to get a magnifying glass out to look for enhancements then why bother. WHat kills me is that you and The Mart always look for little things to flame about. You will get a PS3 no matter what. If it had PS1 graphics you would get one.
You guys will defend the PS3 so it does not matter. If the 360 was 10 times better you would still buy/defend the PS3. If the 360 had a bigger media size you would still buy/defend the PS3.
